![]() ![]() You are a Spirit Scout sent on your first solitary excursion to a secluded island. However, this expedition is far from the normal campout. Spry Fox’s new life sim game Cozy Grove pulls inspiration from these experiences, depicting one scout’s trip to a secluded island campground. These lessons often culminated in camping trips several times a year, when newly-learned skills were put to use and badges were earned upon completing tasks. The only thing we know for sure is that if you're playing the game on a relatively slow SD card (which many people are, because they cost much less than the fastest SD cards) then you can experience some serious performance issues, but this can be solved by moving Cozy Grove from the SD card to the Switch's built-in system memory, which we highly recommend doing (your save will be carried over, don't worry. For many, the Cub Scouts was a place to learn about the wilderness and survival techniques as a child. Hey folks! We are definitely interested in improving performance for all our players wherever needed, but we've also been a bit mystified by the more extreme complaints about game-breaking lag and frequent crashing, because we haven't been able to reproduce that ourselves on the Switch and we're testing on a mature save that has been purposely inflated with an insane number of items on the ground. Thanks for reading and for any feedback/discussion. It’s okay to love something but understand that it’s broken and it’s not okay.ĭo any other versions of the game have these issues or do they run more smoothly? Are there any major Switch issues I missed in my list? How do you feel about these issues? Has the company said anything about these issues and that they are working on them? (I am playing the US Switch version.) We as a community should come together and make a point about these issues and help the company to understand they are more important than more dialogue options (especially as most dialogue options are not needed for game play). I don’t think any of us on Switch should accept the game as it is. ![]() I am willing to play through these issues for the most part but I don’t appreciate them at all. It’s adorable, it’s my speed, it’s everything I enjoy. There are others that I can’t remember at this moment. The broken hearted imp glitches that everyone else has. When fishing sometimes the game forces your character into the same issue with the holding items and forces you to hit a button to get out of it. You have to select multiple eye colors multiple times and sometimes have to switch between them to get the actual one you wanted to become equipped. Changing your look at Kits is actually close to impossible. When an item is placed in your hand the game puts your character into an already throwing position which is impossible to get out of without hitting the throw button (but item does not get thrown thank goodness). Items/pets are impossible to select unless using the touch screen sometimes. Crafting/cooking slows game down considerably. Game slows to a crawl during running, loading in nature, dialog, and when color is expanding from a bear or light. Game freezes loading up, freezes during dialog, freezes when running. List of issues I can think of off the top of my head for the Switch version: The game is close to being unplayable sometimes on the switch. The current gaming society that just blindly accepts betas as full games is becoming too much. ![]() ![]() It shouldn’t have come out on switch at all with all the issues it has currently. You have a version of the game that is already out, you should be working to make it work correctly. More people should be placed on the bug fixing side of things before any expansion happens. I understand the devs wanting to expand their game into more languages and add more dialog options but with the game being out for over a month on the switch and it’s still freezing, still slugging along, still glitching all over the place, it is frustrating to see them doing so. Please read bottom most paragraph as I suppose it’s the most important part to the post. ![]()
